European Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers Association (EUROMAP) has launched the EUROMAP 77 standard.It is a kind of new industrial standard for the data exchange between the Industrial 4.0 Injection Molding Machine and a central computer or a manufacturing execution system (MES) .
EUROMAP 77 is based on the OPC unified architecture (OPC UA), which is a secure and reliable interoperability of data exchange standards in the field of automation between a number of industries. The OPC foundation is a non-profit industrial association which is responsible for development.
The Association said that due to the independent platform,and in order to ensure seamless flow of information between devices in a number of manufacturers, OPC unified itself framework to be an ideal basis for EUROMAP 77.
EUROMAP 77 is developed by the experts from Arburg, Engel) Ferromatik Milacron, raussMaffei, Netstal, Negri Bossi, SHI,Demag and Wittmann Battenfeld Vermeer under the support of the OPC foundation and Ascolab Company as well as with the help of MES manufacturer .
Current technical specifications are being used as candidates and were also released on website www.euromap.org/euromap77.
With the support of Xitaso, there is a a specially-designed demonstrator on K 2016,showing the actual machine running data from different manufacturers in different hall.
